However, according to PCGamer, Ion Hazzikostas assured the player base that the early access won’t create a long-term edge. It will exclude many end-game advantages to maintain an even playing field. The Game Director emphasized that the early access period is intended to assist players with limited time to dedicate to WoW. And the development team’s main goal is to make sure that there is no noticeable advantage between those with early access and those without.

“We’re looking at end game power advantages. Our goal here is, and we’re going to do everything in our power to make sure it’s the case, that there’s no long-term advantage. You shouldn’t be able to tell the difference between someone by the time Season One [with its raid and Mythic Plus dungeons] starts, who had the early access to someone who didn’t.”
