Diablo IV Gameplay Video Faces Community Backlash

1 min read 0 2

Diablo 4’s developers have found themselves at the center of a community storm after a recent gameplay video left fans baffled.

This comes as the developers’ efforts to engage with players and address ongoing concerns. So far, the strategy has been working well for them. After all, everything is transparent. And they are also able to show that they are listening to their fans. Yet, this time, it’s not the case.

The video showcases two designers responsible for the in-game dungeons encounters. Together, Dini McMurry and Josey Meyer navigate their way through Belfry Zakara. However, their dreadfully poor skill level has prompted players to question the competence of the game creators. The situation also casts doubt on the team’s overall gaming expertise. Consequently, many individuals attribute the game’s shortcomings to this newly-exposed issue.

A flurry of negative responses has been plaguing the Internet regarding this matter. For instance, the staggering ratio of dislikes to likes on YouTube is now over 20,000 dislikes compared to around 600 likes. The uproar has, of course, spilled onto Reddit, where gamers are puzzled about how such a video was even released.

Needless to say, a significant number of unkind comments are directed toward McMurry and Meyer. Fortunately, other gamers, such as Asmongold, offer a more balanced perspective on the matter.

Numerous individuals have expressed dissatisfaction with Blizzard’s choice to release this video. They share the opinion that these two developers were put in an unfavorable position. And that the PR department has handled this poorly.
