Sepulcher of the First Ones meta and DPS-ranking overview

2 min read 0 0

It is week 3 of RTWF in the Sepulcher, and it is one of final moments, where we can overview class meta that has not been largely affected by second legendary and 4-piece tier sets yet.

Just a heads-up before we begin – I am in no shape or form a guide writer or even a min-max player. My understanding of most specs is average at most, and therefore take everything I say with a grain of salt.

All the data used in this article was taken from the Warcraft Logs for Sepulcher of the First Ones.

Sepulcher Normal

95th Percentile Statistics

As you can see now, and will see further on – Demonology Warlocks are currently in the lead due to their amazing single-target damage. 4 Piece-set provides them with ~20% increase in DPS, so you might expect them to stay in leading positions in the overall chart.

Sepulcher Heroic

95th Percentile Statistics

In the heroic raid the top one spot is yet again claimed by Demonology Warlocks with quite a significant lead. What is interesting though, is that Survival Hunters and Enhancement Shamen are tailing quite close. Survival Hunters being so high up in the ranking is truly something special, and hasn’t happened in a very long while.

Sepulcher Mythic

95th Percentile Statistics

Yet again, Demonology Warlocks are on top of the damage charts, with an even larger gap this time. Reason for this might as well be that the guilds actually funnel all the tier pieces to their Warlocks due to their great results in normal and heroic modes, or just because of them being the strongest single-target spec in the current meta.

It will be very interesting to see the shifts in the meta, when the majority of players acquire their 4-piece tier sets and second legendaries, but this is the data as of right now.

Mythic+

95th Percentile Statistics

And here’s the average statics on spec performance in terms of points gained in Mythic+ dungeons. As you can see – Monks are on a roll in the beginning of Season 3, being one of the best damaging class and the best tanking class as of now. Destruction Warlocks on the other hand, are tailing at the very bottom here, as well as in raid scenarios. This is most likely due to destro warlocks actually being nerfed as of late, because it is unusual for them to be tailing that far behind.

Once again, the meta might drastically shift in the next few weeks, and it will be quite amusing to see some outsider specs suddenly start to shine.
