Dragonflight Patch 10.1 New Cinematic: Opening the Way
Champions of Azeroth, get ready for a brand-new in-game cinematic that has just been released minutes ago. Dragonflight has unveiled “Opening the Way.” It offers a glimpse into the formation of the entrance to the Zaralek Caverns, long shrouded in secrecy. However, be warned, as the following information contains some spoilers you may not want to see. So, proceed at your own risk.
With that being said, let’s watch the event unfold!
Once again, we get to see Raszageth’s siblings in action. After mercilessly making some sizzling grilled horse meat out of a Maruuk Centaur guard, Fyrakk rejoined his brother and sister. The trio was on their quest to force an opening into Aberrus. With his brother’s approval, Fyrakk unleashed his fire and transformed into a ferocious proto-dragon. He plunged with reckless abandon into the icy surface, shattering it into fragments and laying bare the entrance to the Zaralek Caverns.
The scene draws to a close with Iridikron and Vyranoth’s cryptic conversation:
Vyranoth: "Exquisite. In his wake, the Dracthyr will succumb to the temptation of Aberrus and unleash the Aspects' darkest nightmares." Iridikron: "Come. We have much do do. Let the children of Neltharion claim their birthright."
What temptation awaits the dracthyr in Aberrus? Is it the same one that will eventually transform Scalecommander Sarkareth into the Old-God-influenced or Void-infested final boss later on? What are the Aspects’ darkest nightmares? What birthright did Iridikron mention? So many questions, but perhaps we have been able to answer some of them in our article about the fifth Old Gods.
What we have seen just now only adds to the speculation of an Old God imprisoned beneath Aberrus. So check out said article for a more comprehensive view of what may happen. It’ll be fantastic for us and other readers to know your thoughts on the matter.
The wait is nearly over, folks! Patch 10.1 is fast approaching. Prepare for the promising narrative that Embers of Neltharion will soon deliver on May 2!
