Dragonflight 10.1 Heritage Armor: No More Reputation Grind
Blizzard has recently announced a significant change in the latest update of WoW Dragonflight 10.1. They revealed that players no longer need to grind for Exalted reputation to start the Heritage Armor quests.
The exclusive Heritage Armor set is acquired by undertaking a questline specifically tailored for each race. What makes it special is not only because of its distinctive appearance, but also the rich cultural legacy and history of the player’s race intricately woven into its design. It’s a prized possession that serves as a testament to one’s dedication and commitment to their chosen faction.
Previously, players had to grind through their home faction’s reputation and reach the Exalted level to begin said questline. But, with the release of Patch 10.1, this requirement has been removed for certain races. More specifically: Blood Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Goblins, Humans, Orcs, Tauren, and Worgen.
The removal of said requirement in Patch 10.1 is expected to be a welcome change. Especially in the case of those who may have found it challenging and time-consuming. However, many are not so thrilled on the other side of the equation.
It’s understandable that people are not very into spending hours farming for a reputation with the classic factions. But after all, shouldn’t the hero have to at least prove themselves in the eyes of their people in order to earn the right to wear the Heritage Armor? It makes sense for players to have to earn their way to wear it. As stated above, it’s the embodiment of history and culture. Why would anyone entrust their heritage to an utterly random newcomer?
Thus, only time will reveal the impact of this decision on the game and its community.
