Dragonflight Patch 10.1 Removes BFA Pathfinder Requirement
Dragonflight Patch 10.1 boasts a plethora of exciting new features and updates. However, one particular change has been causing quite a stir within the World of Warcraft community. It seems that players will no longer be obligated to fulfill the Battle for Azeroth (BfA) Pathfinder achievement in order to utilize flying mounts in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
THE BFA PATHFINDER ACHIEVEMENT
Requires players to complete a variety of quests, including reputation farming and exploration. Before finishing all of those time-consuming tasks, the champions of Azeroth are unable to rise to the sky of Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Thus, they have to spend weeks, if not months, grinding for the right to fly.
Earning the Pathfinder achievements to gain aerial mobility was initially introduced during the era of Warlords of Draenor. But in recent Patches, Blizzard has cleared both WoD and Legion from this condition. BfA was the final expansion to have such a requirement.
SOARING WITH EASE: THE SKY IS THE LIMIT
With the release of Patch 10.1, these requirements have been removed. Anyone can now enjoy the exhilarating wind of Kul Tiras and Zandalar as long as they have the proper riding skill. No longer have to fulfill the Pathfinder achievement, it’s a lot easier and quicker for players to access all what these areas have to offer.
But even so, getting the said achievement, however, will still be a worthwhile pursuit. As it’s the only way to receive the Wonderwing 2.0 mechanical parrot — a coveted prize in the WoW community.
While some are happy with the change, others are less satisfied. They feel their hard-earned progress in doing quests and reputation farming has been devalued. After all, any player with the required riding skill can now fly in said areas without the same level of effort. Nonetheless, this change is a significant quality-of-life improvement for World of Warcraft players.
