Chris Metzen Returns to World of Warcraft
Good news is incoming for World of Warcraft lovers and fans of Blizzard’s games in general. After six years of leaving the company because of personal issues, Chris Metzen is back.
Back in the day, he contributed significantly to the success of Blizzard’s legendary games like WoW, Diablo, Starcraft, and more. He participated in not only the creative fields like writing, voice-acting, designing, and doing art but also in programming, production, services, and business.
His departure from one of the largest gaming companies in the world had left players concerned and wistful. After all, the man was crushed under stress, self-doubts, and panic attacks, while Blizzard wasn’t in their best shape either. He needed time to take a break from all the pressure and fulfill his role in his personal life. And now, in 2022, Metzen is finally ready to come back.
The General Manager of Warcraft, John Hight, has announced Chris’s return via an official blue post:
Fans are overjoyed with his return, especially after going through the Shadowlands expansion without him. Hopefully, with Chris Metzen, Blizzard will be able to reclaim its heyday.
