Sam ‘Samwise’ Didier has announced his retirement after a remarkable 32-year journey with the company. His illustrious career began in 1991. Here, he found not only a workplace, but also a nurturing artistic family. Didier’s contributions have been instrumental in shaping Blizzard’s iconic portfolio. And his artistic influence has left an indelible mark on iconic franchises. It extends from Warcraft to Diablo and Starcraft and even to older titles like The Lost Vikings, Rock n’ Roll Racing, and Blackthorn. Even the name “Warcraft” is credited to him.
