A clash of perspectives has unfolded between Blizzard President, Liquid Raid Leader, and Asmongold. The reason? It’s the very condition of the MMORPG king, World of Warcraft.
Asmongold is renowned for his rise to fame through his WoW streams. The streamer has gained himself a prominent fanbase thanks to his brutally honest opinions. In recent times, he has persistently voiced his dissatisfaction with the game’s ongoing trajectory.
In a recent Twitch livestream, Asmongold’s video discusses the pressing need for a WoW Reset. Titled ‘Why World of Warcraft Needs a Reset,’ it has caught the full and focused attention of many.
Among them were the Liquid Raid Leader, Maximum, and the Blizzard President, Mike Ybarra. During Maximum’s reaction stream, Ybarra commented:
“The problem is he can’t mythic or heroic successfully.”— Mike Ybarra
Said remark set off a fiery debate. Maximum, though recognizing Ybarra’s comment as “savage,” also agreed:
“I’ve only seen him do normal Raids when it comes out and then he just stops playing.”— Maximum
The World of Warcraft community found itself split. Some defend Asmongold’s viewpoints. Others argued that his limited engagement in high-level content might influence his perspective.
As of now, the streamer in question has yet to respond to the situation.
