WoW Became the Second Most-Viewed Game on Twitch in December 2022
StreamCharts released their overall stats for December 2022. World of Warcraft rose to the second most-watched game, behind only Grand Theft Auto V in the number of viewing hours. It also took third place in the overall categories.
In the previous month, WoW was seen for 74.91 million hours. The peak viewer count was 314,000. Twitch Drops and the Vault of the Incarnates Race to World First broadcast were the main attractions.
The top 10 most watched channels included the winner of the race, Echo_Esports, which took 4th place with 7.7 million hours. Their clip from the broadcast in the Vault of Incarnations was the most popular, with more than 500,000 views. It captures the moment when streamer, commentator, and co-founder of the OTK esports organization Rich Campbell, became aware of the sexual harassment allegations against him that apparently ended his entire career.
