WoW Fan Recreated Lich King Final Battle in Minecraft

The final battle against the notorious Lich King, do you remember? Now, a talented WoW fan has faithfully recreated said iconic scene in Minecraft, down to every line and detail that is bound to bring a smile to your face.

For those who were fortunate enough to experience the initial release of Wrath of the Lich King, the climactic showdown against Arthas was undoubtedly unforgettable. The long-awaited encounter exceeded expectations, delivering an intense and epic experience that resonated with every gamer. And if you completed Jaina’s Locket, you may have felt your heartstrings pulled by the profound tragedy of Arthas’ character.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: What’s this!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: He… he kept it? All this time, he kept it!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I knew!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I sensed a part of him still alive! Trapped… struggling… Oh, Arthas!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Perhaps – perhaps he might someday remember what he once was.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: By the Light, may he at last find rest, free from the icy grip of that terrible blade.

You may have watched the cinematic too many times for your own good in your relentless pursuit of the elusive Invincible. Perhaps you even skip it soloing through the raid. But admit it, there are moments when you find yourself drawn back to it, yearning to relive the emotions that have shaped you into the WoW player today. So, why not explore it from a fresh perspective?

Redditor JardissApe has shared their remarkable creation on the r/classicwow subreddit. Utilizing Minecraft cubes, they went above and beyond by faithfully recreating not only the final battle in Icecrown Citadel, but also capturing the characters’ dialogues, the interface, the chat, the DPS numbers, and much more. Regrettably, much like the rest of us, they, too, skipped the cutscene. So, we don’t get the chance to see how things unfold until the end. But hey, we all know what happens next.

On their YouTube channel, you can find a 15-minute video featuring WotLK but in Minecraft. You may want to have a look at their take on WoW Classic and The Burning Crusade as well. And finally, in terms of WoW, there is an hour-long video that covers the terrains of Northrend made by Rumsey back in 2011.

Aside from the maps and models, the videos are edited. Thus, currently, there isn’t any game that combines the realms of World of Warcraft and Minecraft. However, given the immense talent and creativity within the WoW community, the possibilities are endless.
