How to get Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm in Shadowlands guide
To commemorate the release of Wrath Pre-Patch and Wrath of the Lich King Classic in general, Blizzard have added a new mount to retail servers. It is, of course, the mighty Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm, a mount fit for a true Death Knight, although it is usable on any class.
How to get the Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm if you never played WoW classic?
So you want this mount, but never played on classic servers? Well, that is not a problem what so ever, since the restrictions for creating a Death Knight were eased significantly!
Blizzard has made it so that your first Death Knight created on account is completely restrictions free. You can create one Death Knight on any realm of your choosing, with no prior experience of classic addons.
Then, all you have to do is to finish the introduction questline, where you will serve the Lich King and bring terror to the city of New Avalon. This questline remained largely the same throughout the years, and if you ever leveled a Death Knight on retail servers, high chances are – you will already be familiar with the quests.
So, to recap here is a step-by-step guide on how you can get the Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm as a Shadowlands player:
- Download WoW TBC (pre-patch for WotLK is already live as of writing of this guide)
- Create a Death Knight character. There will be no requirements for your very first one.
- Complete the introduction questline. Once you find yourself bringing a letter to your faction’s leader at ~level 58 you’ll be 1 quest turn-in from completing the questline.
- As soon as the quest is finished and no one is throwing rotten tomatoes at you in your capital – you’re done.
- Log back into Shadowlands and you’ll find your new mount waiting for you!
