UPDATE: THE VICTOR PREVAILED

On March 10, 2023, the gaming community was on the edge of their seats as the highly anticipated Root of Nightmares World First raid race kicked off at precisely 9:00 AM PST. The competitors had been eagerly waiting for this moment and were now ready to embark on an intense journey to the top. All the events will unfold in the Pacific Standard Timezone (PST) to make it easier for fans to follow the action.

As the clock ticked on, the tension grew with each passing minute, and the competition became more fierce. The raid race was shaping up to be an epic battle, and everyone was eagerly watching to see who would emerge as the champion.

At 9:27 AM, Saltagreppo completed the first encounter, while many other teams were still struggling to do the same. After staying on the same progress with Sweatcicles for a while, they climbed out of the second encounter at 10:06 AM.

10:45 arrived. ATP successfully cleared the third encounter and made their way toward the fourth.

As the clock’s hands reached 11:16, All_The_Players and Team Hard in The Paint found themselves facing off against the much-hyped final encounter. And thus, the massive leak proved true, with Nezarec looming before them as the ultimate test.

After 9 minutes, at 11:25, Team Hard in The Paint emerged victorious. Only more than two hours after Root of Nightmares opened its gate. However, official verification from Bungie is still pending at the moment of writing.

More information is on the way, so remember to re-check this article once in a while for more exciting developments in the Root of Nightmares World First raid race.

WHAT IS RON RAID RACE?

Destiny 2’s World First competitions are a thrilling spectacle drawing in fans and players alike. Fireteams battle it out during Contest Mode to be the first to conquer the game’s latest raid.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

There is nothing different from the usual compared to previous years. In the first 48 hours, players worldwide will be competing for the coveted World First title. Popular content creators are also expected to take part: from KingGothalion, Gladd, Datto, and more.

With Contest Mode on, all teams will have the same power level going in, meaning 20 power levels below what is recommended to finish the raid. High-DPS weapons are prohibited. This provides an opportunity to showcase players’ strategizing skills in overcoming challenges.

The winning team will be the one that successfully overcomes each encounter in the raid and defeats the final boss.

If you prefer a seat in the audience row, don’t worry. You can still join the action by watching the live competition on players’ Twitch and YouTube.
